Tony Fung

Tony Fung started dancing in 1994. Besides dance lessons in Canada, he also received training in Germany, England and the United States. Soon after Tony began entering dance competition with his partner, they escalated very rapidly to the top levels.

Tony turned professional since 2001. He had also been interviewed in the media and invited to teach ballroom Dancing on TV. In the 2005 Miss Chinese (Vancouver) Beauty Pageant, he was the ballroom dancing coach and his students won the 1st and 3rd places in the pageant.

In 2005 and 2006, he was teaching Standard Silver and Gold level classes in UBC Dance Club. Additionally, in 2007, he was invited to teach in SFU Dance Club as well. Currently, besides teaching adult group classes, he is also teaching children’s group class at Crystal Ballroom.

Tony is enthusiastic of teaching and sharing his enjoyment of International Dancing with his students. He specializes in Standard and Latin dance techniques.

  • BC Ten Dance Champions – 2001
  • Canadian Closed Ten Dance Finalists – 2001
  • UK Open Professional Ten Dance – 4th Place – 2002
  • UK Open Professional Ten Dance – 3rd Place – 2003

His Competitor Students’ Winners and Finalists Awards include:

  • UBC Gala Ball – 2008
  • Canadian Closed Competition in Vancouver – 2008
  • Snowball classic – 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Tony is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He is available for:
