Luba has been ballroom dancing from the age of 9. She has competed in Latin and Standard ballroom dancing as well as Salsa. Luba has participated in competitions held in England, Australia, United States, and all over Canada.

Some of her accomplishments include:

• Winner of The UK Professional Ten Dance Championships in the Under 21 Latin division
• Winner of The Seattle Star Ball Latin
• Winner of The UBC Gala Ball Salsa competition
• Finalist of The IDSF North American Latin Championships
• Finalist of The Western Australia Open Dance Sport Amateur Championships

Luba has also been an active participant in Salsa and attended world-class congresses such as:

• 2007 Warsaw Salsa Congress in Poland
• 2008 Chicago Salsa Congress
