Mr. Shen was dancing since 1973. In 1980 he studied dance at the BeiJing Dance Academy and earned the university diploma. In 1984, he became the art director of the college department and the head coach of the Ballroom and Latin American dance. He has been teaching Ballroom and Latin American dance since 1991 in Vancouver. He became an adjudicator of the Canadian Dance and Dance Sport Council in 2001.

Qualifications:

• Fellow Membership both in Latin American Dance and Ballroom Dance of the Canadian Dance Teacher Association.
• Fellow Membership both in Latin American Dance and Ballroom Dance of the International Dance Teacher Association from England.

Accomplishments:

• Winner of Canadian Professional 10 Dance Showcase – 2004
• Participated in numerous Pro-Am competitions with students – all with First Placing
